We Are Church is calling for Dublin 2018 to be the last ever “World Meeting
of Families.”
Here are our 10 reasons for making this call:
1) WMoF has been a conservative rally since its inception
2) The People of God don’t want rallies – they want real dialogue
3) WMoF has become very homophobic
4) WMoF promotes rigorous orthodoxy
5) WMoF excludes LGBT families
6) WMoF excludes LGBT speakers
7) WMoF excludes divorced & remarried families
8) WMoF excludes artificial contraception for family planning
9) WMoF cost of €50m would be better spent reforming our church
10) WMoF treats women as fig leaves for patriarchy

Families and instead focus on reforming our church by involving lay women
