“No Woman No Church” Gathering for International Women’s Day in Dublin

Dignity and Equality for Women - International Women's Day (IWD)

For the first time ever, Catholic women are linking up globally to take action. A new umbrella group has been formed: the Catholic Women’s Council. We Are Church Ireland has joined the Catholic Women's Council.

We are on a pilgrimage of activism that will culminate in a major event in Rome, in 2021.

On IWD we gathered at the Apostolic Nunciature in Dublin where Ursula Halligan read our Statement which concluded:

We are here today not to set the table but to take our place at the Table.
You have rejected half the human race and created a structure exclusively for men and male clerics.
In your hearts, you know you are history.
Because:   No Woman, No Church.
No Woman, No Church.
No Woman, No Church.
