Wear a Blue Ribbon to support Justice and Truth for Abuse Victims
We Are Church is calling on its members and everyone concerned to wear
a blue ribbon this week. The blue ribbon is a symbol of our support for and
solidarity with all the victims and survivors of clerical sexual abuse and is a
call for justice and truth. Pope Francis should open the Vatican files and
bishops & cardinals involved in cover-ups must also face justice.
“Wearing a blue ribbon is not in any way disrespectful to the papal Mass or
any of the other events this week” stated Brendan Butler.
