  7. Twelve of our group attended a meeting of 3,000 with Pope Francis for the 3rd World Meeting of Popular Movements. This was the first time We Are Church has been officially invited to a event in the Vatican - thanks to the good work of our Italian colleagues Noi Siamo Chiesa.
  8. There were 5 additional participants from Brazil (2), Gabon, Spain and France for what was “Council 50”. This is now renamed as “1st Gobal Forum of the People of God.”
    1. They are planning the “2nd Global Forum for the People of God” to be held in Aparecida in Brazil 15 - 18 November 2018.

  9. There were several reports on the Chicago meeting with Priest groups (October 2016) which was the third such meeting [Bregenz (2014); Limerick (2015)]. The priest groups and lay reform groups are seeking to combine efforts for reform, though different countries are moving at different speeds and different priorities.
  10. It was agreed to stop using the acronym "IMWAC" and instead use "We Are Church International."
  11. Next meeting is scheduled for March 2018 to be again in Rome.Screen Shot 2016-11-13 at 12.32.20
