"What happened to Fr Seán Fagan?" by Angela Hanley (Columba Books, launched by Mary McAleese on 3 October 2019)

Fr Seán Fagan asked his good friend Angela Hanley to "spill the beans in public on what really went on, to shame our sinful church in the hope that it might prevent further repetitions." And Angela Hanley has written this important book as a tribute to the dignity of Seán Fagan who suffered greatly at the hands of the Vatican's Congregation for Doctrine and Faith. The truth has been told at last.

Mary McAleese gave a powerful endorsement to Angela's story about Seán. The hermeneutic of continuity is a lie. For the first 100 years there were no churches; the Eucharist was celebrated in private houses. But the spiritual abuse of power and authority led to bishops telling lies about clerical sex abuse. Tens of thousands believed what Seán believed, but they remained silent. But not Seán. He wrote about mandatory celibacy; the exclusion of women from ministries; contraception and LGBT people.

Seán was a Teacher, Pastor and Academic. He was the perfect Christian in every way!
